After having been away from the shop for more than half a year we will release the new spring collection tomorrow.
Seven and half years ago my mother and I started TSUBAKI VINTAGE. Just as nothing stays the same in life, my own life focus has changed especially over the past few years, and since last summer I have started on a different path.
As I devote a large part of my time and energy to my new path, it has become a challenge to continue TSUBAKI VINTAGE in the same way as before. We have therefore decided to continue the brand in a simplified form than before.
Specifically...
- Primarily release the collection of items only three times a year; spring, summer and winter
- Simplify the photography
- Update social media only at the time of releasing items
Although some things will be simplified, we will continue putting our heart into every step of the process in the same way as we have done until now. In fact, we will be able to deliver everything more smoothly than before as we now have a clearer idea of where we need to put our energy.
Thank you to everyone who has been supporting our journey all these years, and we hope to continue sharing with you the beauty and the story behind Japanese kimonos, as well as the beauty that can only be found in things created by human hands.
Let’s continue, with a little more simplicity.
Mihiro TSUBAKI VINTAGE
半年以上ショップから離れていましたが、明日今春のコレクションをリリースします。
2016年の初夏にTSUBAKI VINTAGEを母とスタートしてから7年半。全ては変化するように、私自身の人生のフォーカスもここ数年で変化し、昨年の夏頃から、これまでとは違った道を歩み始めました。
新しい道に自分の時間と身体・精神エネルギーの大部分を注ぐ中で、TSUBAKIVINTAGEを今までどおりの形で続けることが現実的でないと感じ、これからは今までよりも少し簡素化した形で、ブランドを続けていきたいと思います。
具体的には…
- 基本は春・夏・冬の年3回のみ、纏まった数のアイテムをコレクションとしてリリース
- 写真撮影を簡素化
- ソーシャルメディアの更新は、基本的にアイテムリリース時のみに
今後はこのような新たな形で、ブランドを続けていきます。形態は少し変わりますが、全ての工程において丁寧に、心を込めて行うことは変わりません。むしろエネルギーを注ぐべき箇所がこれまでよりも明確になったので、今までよりもスムーズにアイテムをお届けできるようになると思います。
一方で、こうしてブランドを簡素化することを決められたのも、今までのベースがあるからこそ。簡素化しても、私たちが伝えたいことやブランドのスピリットは、過去7年半の積み重ねの中で皆さんにもきっと共有できていると信頼しています。
少しシンプルに、でも込める想いは変わらずに。これからも、日本の着物とともに、人の手で丁寧に創られたものにしかない美しさを世界中の皆さんと共有し続けることができれば嬉しいです。
